This visual study was inspired by an old arabic calligraphy artwork of this Muslim declaration of faith.
At first I focused myself on the basic shape of this image, then I envisioned it through a barrage of texture.
And for the third and final phase I implemented the figure in a landscape setting, leaving subtile hints of the previous texture experiment.
"Bismi'llah ir-Rahman ir-Rahiem"
"In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful"
A handdrawn visual experiment in which traditional black and white calligraphy artworks of this islamic phrase are adapted by a blast of color.
Always using a mix of two colors and having them represent a mysterious silhouette lurking behind the form of the text.
